ABOUT US

Little Shining Lights Nursery and Preschool is a registered Charity, registered with Ofsted. Our childcare setting offers an outstanding and affordable childcare provision within our Christian ethos for Babies, Toddlers and Preschoolers aged 3 months to 5 years old. We have full time and part time places and we are open for 50 weeks. 

 

Little Shining Lights is located in Thornton Heath, Croydon. Our setting location is close to public transport; bus links and the nearest train station is Thornton Heath which is a 10-minute walk. We are well located and serving families in and around Thornton Heath and beyond.

We offer your child the opportunity to learn and play in our carefully designed play and learning area that are not only stimulating and creative but provide peace of mind where safety is of the utmost importance.

 

There are dedicated nursery spaces for the different age ranges. Each room reflects the seven areas of learning as described in the Early Years Foundation Stage and is designed to be accessible to every child.

BABY ROOM

3 months - 2 years

The first two years of a child’s life are critical for brain and language development and the early encounters lay the foundation for future intellectual and emotional development.

TODDLERS ROOM

2 years - 3 years

This is the age where children will experience dramatic change, as they develop from a dependent baby to a much more independent child and progress along their path to Pre-School.

PRESCHOOL ROOM

3 years - 5 years

As children progress in their development, our aim is to

introduce a structure, pace and a style of teaching to our classes which forms the beginning of their educational journey.
